Bachelor in Elementary Education

The Bachelor in Elementary Education aims to form competent and effective elementary school teachers. In order to ensure that graduates of this four-year course possess the knowledge, skills, and dispositions to positively impact the growth and learning of all grade 1 to 6 students, students taking up this course undergo rigorous coursework that exposes them to pedagogical theory and practice, the latest effective instructional strategies in elementary school teaching. Exposure to real life teaching situations is facilitated by a mentored field study. This culminates in the student’s fourth year of study in a semester long supervised practice teaching experience in an elementary school classroom.
